Why I started the Honest Mom's Kitchen

Authentic stories, authentic food, and an honest attempt at living a more authentic life. That is what The Honest Mom's Kitchen is all about; real stories from my home, real food (we'll talk a lot about this!), and ultimately a look into living a life full of MORE honesty.

The kitchen is the center of the home, a place where truth is spoken freely, where tears are shed or laughter shouted, a place where families and friends come together in a REAL and HONEST way. But perhaps the most important, the kitchen often reflects the home...It's a place well-used like your old college t-shirt, a little smelly, some wear and tear, but loved so dearly!

Kitchen's are meant to be used, they are meant to be well-loved, find me a well-loved kitchen and there you will find a happy home!

In today's world our kitchen's are getting less and less use, reflecting our fast-paced life and "rushed" home. A home where families do not eat dinner together, truth is rarely spoken and "fakeness" (that's a word, right?) abounds. We are stuffing our kitchens with fake talk, fake stories, and fake food!

So why, The Honest Mom's Kitchen...I believe our families, our friends, and you, deserve better! We have a desperate need to become real again, to take back the center of our homes and it begins with living a more honest life.

So join me as I feed my family REAL food, in a kitchen that is used often, with REAL stories from our life.
